PIERO GUCCIONE (Scicli 1935)

This is the only non en-suite room, and it is accessible via comfortable stairs. A blue floor and the ancient ceiling embellish the Guccione room.

Piero Guccione, one of the most important contemporary painters, was Guttuso’s assistant since 1966 at Accademia delle belle Arti in Rome, where he succeeded him. His masterpieces reflect influences from different styles, from neorealism to North Africa rock paintings, some of those were exhibited in the most famous American universities.
